My Needs

I have two basic, non-physical needs. One is control. The other is sympathy. I would have to say that the latter seems to be the more dire of the two. As of late, however, I seem to favor solitude over company. The reason must be that my common company offers no sympathy, and, on a lesser note, no control. This company is my family.
My family consists of myself, my brother, and my mother. I don't like them very much.
"Maybe you should try showering the night before!"
"Hey, I only got one bowl of that!"
"Are you aware that you are not the only person living in this house?"
"I don't know, why don't you do your own laundry?"
"Go ahead and go to sleep, I'm not stopping you."
I would rather live with my dad in Wyoming at this point, but there's too much I'd be leaving behind. Kung Fu, friends, and a girlfriend are evidently worth being the whipping boy.

Wow, I've never heard a high school student speak like that. Your post has good choice in words and at the end when you compare your self to the whipping boy, I love that book, so thankyou for the reminder.
